Okay, so this is a bit different than "what's your favorite?" Every time someone gives their favorite, it's always because it's the first one they played. Always.

But the games actually have subtle, or not so subtle in the case of MP9, differences from each other. So, looking at the game mechanics, mini game selection, even character selection and story mode, what do you think is the best Mario Party?

Personally, I would say Mario Party 7 is the best. Is mixes up the basic Mario Party formula on the boards, and offers some of the best mini games with a huge variety in the type of games you can play.

So what's your pick, and why?

You can totally say 1 or 2. As long as there's a reason beyond that you're the most nostalgic for those ones.

Hmm... it has to be either 2, 7 or 9 for me. I think I have to go with 9 at the end of the day. Just a refreshing change of pace, great minigames and a lot of fun to be had.

uh

for MP1, Because of that time I lost and raged hard.

MP2, that time where my cousin Zack (DK) beat me (Luigi?) in Bowser Land.

I'd go with Mario Party 3. I think it has the best mini-games.
