Spoiler: Dark Bowser Involved In Forum Scandal (0.20) (click to show/hide)

TT had celebrated a great accomplishment on MPF, getting 7500 posts. The problem? He celebrated it more than he should've. Why? Because his posts kept getting deleted. How? That was the mystery. So TT made a topic about it on 8/18/08 to see if everyone could crack the case. At the beginning, the fingers were pointed at Dark Bowser, admin of MPF since the beginning days. And as time went by, more evidence turned up proving Dark Bowser guilty. And Dark Bowser not logging in since the topic was made didn't help his cause either.

Not until 8/27/08 did Joey show up. The main reason was because of a PM Cookieboy sent him about an MSN convo between he and Dark Bowser, proving he did it out of hatred for TT. And when Joey checked the mod log, there was all the evidence he needed that Dark Bowser deleted TT's posts that weren't spam. So everyone waited to see when Dark Bowser would lose his admin spot. But days past and nothing happened. It looked like Joey was giving Dark Bowser a second chance.

But in a ironic twist on 9/12/08 occured. Joey announced that TT would regain his Global Moderator position he once held until last May, when fights with Amatatomba. And shortly after, Dark Bowser's admin position was dropped. In this crazy event, here is what some members had to say:

Well, I think that DB has does something that he shouldn't have done, and TT getting upset about posts lost. And I think it was not good at all I knew that TT wanted to be a G-Mod again

What I think is that it's weird that TT got his G-Mod spot back. DB is weird to delete TT's posts for no good reason. And he doesn't want to admit it too. But I sense trouble in the future with DB losing his admin posers and TT becoming a GMod

So there you have it. One of the biggest scandals to hit MPF, an admin abusing his power, and losing his spot. Its just too bad that Dark Bowser couldn't come on MPF and apoligize, rather have someone catch him on MSN.

They say everybody in the world is connected to each other by 6 people or less. I know we can all be somehow connected to each other in only one step by going to the same forum, but I decided to think of it a little differently.
TT-HuntMac
1. TT is a member of MPF who is a fan of the band Radiohead
2. The lead singer of Radiohead, Thom Yorke, was sampled by Kanye West on the song "Us Placers".
3. Kanye West referenced the movie "Forrest Gump" on his song "Hey Mama" (Forrest Gump mama said, life is like a box of chocolates)
4. The main character in Forrest Gump is Tom Hanks
5. Tom Hanks has been admitted to be one of HuntMac's favorite actors.
6. HuntMac is a member of MPF, along with TT

SonicnMario-Zig
1. SonicnMario is a member of MPF and loves Pokemon.
2. Pokemon is a major franchise, who's mascot is Pikachu.
3. Pikachu was featured on the side of an airplane, the ANA Boeing 747-400, in the Heathrow Airport.
4. Heathrow Airport in London is one of the busiest airports in England.
5. England just so happens to be the country Ziggy lives in.
6. Zig is a member of MPF, along with SnM.

Prongs-cookieboy17
1. Prongs is a member of MPF, and is a fan of the anime Code Geass.
2. Code Geass is a show that is featured on the late Cartoon Network session, Adult Swim.
3. Adult Swim also features the popular show Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
4. Aqua Teen Hunger Force features anthropomorphic fastfood, much like those McDonalds mascots like the talking burger and chicken nuggets.
5. McDonalds is a fastfood restaurant that serves good cookies that cookieboy17 enjoys.
6. cookieboy17 is a member of MPF, along with Prongs.

Mirsius-MattV
1. Mirsius is a member of MPF, who's favorite game is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
2. Oblivion originally featured a T rating but was switched to an M rating after a "topless mod" that showed a woman topless; this is very similar to GTA:SA's "Hot Coffee Mod".
3. The "Hot Coffe Mod" almost got GTA:SA an 18+ rating, which would ban it from several countries such as New Zealand and Australia.
4. New Zealand and Australia are the two countries where lawn-bowling is the most popular.
5. Lawn-bowling is a hobby of MattV's, and he even competed in a competition for it.
6. MattV is a member of MPF, along with Mirsius.

MLYW-nets84
1. MLYW is a member of MPF, who is very much into Kingdom Hearts.
2. Kingdom Hearts features many Disney characters, such as Aladdin.
3. The Genie from Aladin is voiced by famous comedian/actor Robin Williams.
4. Robin Williams is the star of the 1993 comedy Mrs. Doubtfire.
5. Mrs. Doubtfire is a movie nets84 enjoys very much.
6. nets84 is a member of MPF, along with MLYW.

vipsoccermaster-SuperZambezi
1. vipsoccermaster is a member of MPF, who is a part of the Friendship Circle.
2. The Friendship Circle is a group of friends (?), much like the people on the hit TV show "Friends".
3. "Friends" takes place in Manhattan, New York City.
4. NYC is the home of Mario and his gang in the non-canon Super Mario Bros. Super Show.
5. Mario has appeared in many different spin-offs, including Mario Party, which SuperZambezi owns a forum dedicated to (SMPF).
6. SuperZambezi is a member of MPF, along with vipsoccermaster.

Spoiler: A Day In The Life As An Editor-In-Chief (0.30) (click to show/hide)

It's a tough job being the Editor-In-Chief of the Mario Party Forum Newsletter. Each Issue I'll show you a not-so-behind-the-scenes look at how the Newsletter gets made.

Sometimes I have to bug members to get their articles done on time, I know I really motivate them:

Spoiler: Captain Nazi For Batman 3 (0.35) (click to show/hide)

There are a lot of rumors out there about the casting of Batman 3, such as this one. So I decided I'd pitch my ideas for the casting.

The Title: The Dark Reich (A wordplay on the title of the second Christopher Nolan Batman film, "The Dark Knight")

Villian: Captain Nazi

Actor: Mel Gibson (Well known for his statement against Jews so he is perfect for the part)

Catchphrase: "Why so Democratic? Let's put a Swastika on that shirt" (Wordplay on the Joker's catchphrase from The Dark Knight)

Powers: Flight, Super Strength and he's a flippen Nazi

Introduction: After Germany loses World War 2, Captain Nazi is put into suspended animation and is finally unleashed in present day Gotham. He is impressed by The Dark Knight and wants to recruit him to help create the Fourth Reich.




Headshots (or in this case Mugshot for Mel) look shockingly alike. Maybe Mel has been in character all these years and doesn't hate the jews!

Why would this make a good movie? First of all, it is using a character that has never been used in a film. And let's face it, The Dark Knight was the best drama they're gonna make so how about we make the sequel a comedy. What's funnier than a flying Nazi?



Well other than that flying nun, there is nothing funnier. Also people would be so shocked that they'd definitely see it. People want to see something outrageous and thats why films like Hostel and Saw are made. I honestly think a film like this could easily work. Also Nolan has said that he wants realistic characters and what is more realistic than a flying Nazi? Nothing.

Some possible other villians in the third movie:



The Ventriloquist would be a great villian. He could be played by any random actor but the real ploy is that he controls a realistic looking doll called Scarface:

As you can see the dummy is huge there but that would not be realistic so the dummy would have to be a small Chucky type character. Which is why Vern Troyer would be perfect to play him!



Could we have a better cast than Gibson and Troyer? Well sure Johnny Depp and Phillip Seymour Hoffman might be a match made in heaven but a drunk little person and an anti-semite over-the-hill Christian would make it an even better film.

ttwashere: The success is that I'm the shiznit. No actually it has been our aggressive advertising campaign. We've only been up for 2 days yet we have 28 votes on a poll we just put up 24 hours ago. We have affiliated with many other sites and have a great Forum News program that garners readers. We also have been getting our news to sites like Kombo and Digg.com
nets84: Do you truly feel your site can succeed even with Nicholas "Luigi Lord" *undetermined Greek last name* as a staff writer?
ttwashere: Yes, LuigiLord is an excellent sub-par writer who is specializing on Import reviews and previews.
nets84: I see. So, lets get back to MPF. How are you enjoying your recent global mod powers you regained?
ttwashere: I've been cleaning up some of the inactive moderators boards and patrolling for trolls.
nets84: With global mod powers, come great responsibility. You have been one to forgo that in the past, getting in brutal fights with Amatablabla and losing your spot. Do you see this happening again?
nets84: And if so, who do you wanna fight next!?
ttwashere: My agent advises me to say No Comment.
nets84: Smart move.
ttwashere: But I will say that I have not used my global mod powers to break rules.
nets84: I just learned of some great news.
nets84: According to local sources, TT has been determined the winner of the Member who has Impacted MPF the Most.
nets84: What do you have to say about this?
ttwashere: Well it's quite an honor. Also recieving votes for that award was Prongs and Huntmac. Overall I won 12 awards and I'd like to say thank you to all who voted. It's nice to know that what I do is appreciated.
nets84: Yes, even VIP must respect what you do.
nets84: Speaking of which, how is your relationship with VIP going?
ttwashere: I have no relationship with him.
nets84: Yes I know that. I mostly referenced this only for the fact that he will be very excited to see his name in the newsletter, whether it is a negative connotation or not.
ttwashere: Much like last time.
nets84: Anyways, lets get to video games. What would you say is your favorite video game of all time?
ttwashere: Hmm. Half Life for the PC. It's perfect in my opinion.
ttwashere: May I ask you a question?

Spoiler: Mod Promotions (0.45) (click to show/hide)

On 8/31/08, Joey made a major announcement. Nets84, who about 3 months ago was made a GMod, was given an admin position, the most convenent position a member can hold (only Joey holds administrator). This is speculated as part of the cycle of Joey's to have 2 admins and a Gmod. It was an unexpected surprise for nets, who didn't know he was getting the position until the night before it was announced.

Also, on 9/6/08, DarkMario lost his 2 boards he modded, Mario Party General and Competitive Gaming. The reason? Simply because he is inactive. He claims its computer troubles, but multiple sources say he just doesn't want to log on. And the faith of his boards? Mario Party General was given to Cookieboy17, giving him 3 of the 4 Mario Party boards, the lone one belonging to MattV. And speaking of MattV, he was given Competitive Gaming. A perfect fit for both members, who were given their 4th board each to moderate.

And lastly, SonicnMario was given his 3rd board. With TT becoming G-mod, that left General Gaming and the Tech boards avaible. SnM was given General Gaming. Tech is still undecided. So what did the 4 have to say about their new jobs? Let's find out:

Well its obviously a great honor. To know I was worthy of getting 4 boards here is just amazing. All that hard work just keeps on paying off. But what do you expect from a member who made the only food eaten on MPF, aka the cookie.

Well, it all started on a cold, stormy March night in 1992. My mom was in labor and as the doctor said, I came storming through! Little knew that one that eventful day, a former admin would be born. Now I don't feel like saying all this middle stuff... come to think of it this has nothing to do with the question. But anyway, an admin was born that day, and on some late August day I became admin. It's pretty cool because I can do a bunch of stuff. I don't know if I can ban Joseph or not, but that would be cool if I could because I could like make the forum mine. Haha, just kidding, sorta...

3rd? Oh, oh right. There's Sports that only 2-3 people post in.
It feels great having a third board. I'd like to thank the academy and all the little people. And Joey. And Imma do my best at modding.

So in 2 weeks, 4 people benefited from other events.

Spoiler: New Drama On MPF (0.50) (click to show/hide)

So everyone knows the big Dark Bowser scandal. But what other crazy things have been happening around the forum this past month? Well, the self proclaimed drama king, Yoshiman123, returned. And with that brought...you guessed it, drama. His intro topic couldn't even get in peacefully. It got some major spam, into a 6 page topic in a few days, with half the posts being Yoshiman posts. And he continued on by getting a bunch of warnings for breaking different rules over time. And of course, they couldn't go through without drama.

The vipsoccermaster and TT arguement continued into September. And it didn't seem to lighten up. They continued to argue in other topics. And VIP found someone else to argue with. Snowy. Snowy decided to become active after a long haitus on the site. And his presence has caused trouble as well. Getting a couple of warnings, and one for continously arguing with VIP, Snowy has now become a name accociated with the word trouble. But there are reports that VIP and Snowy have put aside their differences...for now.

And Insani also returned after a small hiatus, also returned. He and Prongs picked up where they left off, and argued everyday in the shoutbox. It came to the point that Insani got so angry that he decided to flame everyone and everything one day. That big outburst caused him to get banned. And, of course, you have some unknown people spamming the place.

Spoiler: Drama Is Good For A Forum (0.55) (click to show/hide)

Whenever a big scandal happens on a site, it gets people online and they'll tell other people to get on the site also. It increases activity on the site for a short period of time and really gives the site a boost. For some reason or another, I've been involved in every big controversy or scandal since The Great War. Let's list them:

Alt Accounts
How it helped: It showed members that Admins can't abuse their powers to unfairly ban users and that you can't pick and choose who you ban
(Ex: Yoshiman123 bans Cookieboy17 for Alt Accounts, Yoshiman123 does not ban Pollua). It also placed firm rules for future Alternate Accounts

Amatatomba Drama/TT getting demodded
How it helped:
Gave a lot of activity to the forum and a topic to discuss after the forum had gotten very slow for a period of time.

Dark Bowser Deleting Posts
It once again gave the forum activity and got rid of an Admin breaking serious rules and abusing his powers.

It seems like whenever the forum gets slow and the posts per day go down, a big controversy happens that gets people on the forum and posting. If drama happens at the right time, it can essentially save a forum. But if drama happens too often, people will most likely leave the site.

So when will drama happen next? Will another forum rivalry start, will old feuds be rekindled or will a mod/admin break rules? I don't want to know, but I know when it happens i'll be there and i'll invite some people to watch

Spoiler: The Guide To Becoming A Better Member Part 1 (0.60) (click to show/hide)

I noticed that some new members just get flamed or warned for breaking rules or that old members flaming on the neebies, and frankly, I'm getting tired of that nonsense. I'll break into sections to avoid that and how to make people change their opinion about you.

Step one: Kindness

Lets start with the newbies. First off, you need to be nice to everyone, not just the mods or admins. And you need to respect everyone's opinion about something. Say, something like a topic that was "Is Mario Kart Wii better than Brawl?". You can just post your opinion that Brawl is better, but don't be rude to other members that say that MK Wii is better.

Be something like this:

A member: "Do you think Mario Kart Wii is better than Brawl? Brawl has problems, like not enough Stage Builder things or lags on Wifi"
You: "I agree that Brawl has problems, but I still like it over Mario Kart Wii"

Don't be ass like this:
Your response: no way!! Brawl is ubber pwnage!111!! mk wii sucks!

This will make the other members like you less. Then it will lead to flaming later on.

To members that make fun of newbies, don't make fun of them because they don't know how to highlight words or that they don't know how to put pictures in their sigs. They could be new to the Internet. Hell, I didn't know how to put pictures in my sig when I first joined a forum. I asked for help and the members helped me. So if a new member joins the forum and they ask for help, gladly help them! They will think of you as a friend.

• Did you know Joey once made a duplicate topic about the Dreamcast, both of the topics he made (it was caught by TT)?

Spoiler: Viva Piñata Sends Out The Wrong Message To Kids (0.80) (click to show/hide)

Peaceful scenery right? The birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, Fizzlybears squatting where they like. Almost good to be America. On the surface, Viva Piñata seems like a great game marketed for the younger audience; lets take a closer look.

Meet the common Piñata (Whirlm) that resides in the peaceful American-like garden. They even mate to produce more of themselves, but in a very hidden, "safe" way, so it's not too graphic for the kids.

They perform a "Romance Dance" in which they dance, and when they are finished, a nice lady brings them their egg.

OK, so now we have 3 of the same piñata, uh-oh, we are feeling that need to "Dance" again, ok, so what do we do? Well, the new pinata hasn't danced yet, and we want to be a Master Romancer (degree), so lets give him a shot.... Viva Piñata is Incestuous.

OK, so in our "America" of a garden, we are very diverse, we have different ethnicities of citizens. Take the Whirlm (above) and Sparrowmint for example:

Well, the Whirlm is a vegetarian, it can feed off by the simple grass and dirt that is freely available in it's surroundings. BUT the Sparrowmint has a very strict diet, and needs to feed off the Whirlm to satisfy it's hunger. At first glance, this seems like a simple act that makes nature take it's course, but let us take a closer look.

These are BOTH Piñatas, the Sparrowmint will swoop down and kill the Whirlm, bust the Whirlm up into a bunch of pieces, and then eat the inners or "candy" that the Whirlm held inside. Even other Whirlms will come over to eat the candy.

This resembles a Hannibal Lector-like society where us Humans will go to our neighbors, chop them into a bunch of little pieces, and then whoop down the inner organs that fuel us Humans.

Meet Professor Pester; sports a lot of red doesn't he? Well, he doesn't like Piñatas. He tries to smash them, so he can steal and eat the inner candy for himself. Pretty morbid, yes?  But he doesn't do this alone, oh no.

Meet Mr. Pester's gang of Ruffians. What's their job? How about cause havoc in your Garden, break houses, fences, steal and kill your Piñatas/citizens of your garden.

Under the Ruffians are the "grunts", being sour piñatas.

These piñatas, too, cause havoc in your garden. Their job mainly focus on killing your piñatas, and destroying your plants. Not as hasardous as your Ruffians, but still evil little creatures.

Now let's back track on this. Your garden (America) gets invaded from various Red creatures of hate and destruction. They envy your Garden, and will kill and kidnap your citizens. These Red creatures.....RED creatures, where have I seen this before?

That's right, your America is being invaded by Communists. What are we teaching the young generation today?

Spoiler: A Brief Look At Mario Party (N64) (.90) (click to show/hide)

This is a new monthly feature where TT will take a brief look at the Mario Party series, this month it is the N64 classic Mario Party.

On December 19th 1998 Mario Party created the now popular genre of Mascot Party games. The formula has been copied by many including: Sonic, Namco and Crash Bandicoot. The series had critical and commericial success getting a 5/5 from Gamepro and selling 2.7 million copies worldwide. This game gave birth to a franchise that currently has 13 games.


The characters in the game included stars from the mushroom kingdom such as: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Wario and Donkey Kong. Each character had their own special board named after them. The boards were: DK's Jungle Adventure, Mario's Rainbow Castle, Peach's Birthday Cake, Yoshi's Tropical Island, Wario's Battle Canyon and Luigi's Engine Room. Hidden boards were: Bowser's Magma Mountain and Eternal Star.
In the game, the characters would compete in 50 different mini-games for coins (which were used to buy items and stars). The winner was the user who got the most stars. The two main modes were: Adventure Mode and Mini-Game Island. Now that we've got the boring stuff out of the way, let's see what made this edition special.
Well the main reason it's special is because it started this great series and set out the landwork for the many sequels that would follow. It also had arguably the best mini-games in any Mario Party game. My personal favorites was bumper balls. A mini-game where you would try to bump other players off of an island. This mini-game also appeared in Mario Party 2 and a variation appeared in Mario Party 7.

The fact that it was fresh and new, and not a piece of crap like MP6+. And that DK was playable.

The vipsoccermaster and TT arguement continued into September. And it didn't seem to lighten up. They continued to argue in other topics. And VIP found someone else to argue with. Snowy. Snowy decided to become active after a long haitus on the site. And his presence has caused trouble as well. Getting a couple of warnings, and one for continously arguing with VIP, Snowy has now become a name accociated with the word trouble. But there are reports that VIP and Snowy have put aside their differences...for now.
