What is the true meaning of life?

Do you actually want to know the answer or are you just another mindless zombie, waiting for another Hitchhiker's Guide reference?  I'm going to assume you want an actual answer so that is what I will provide.

The meaning of life is to keep searching for its meaning.  The true meaning is probably somewhere out there, and everyone is looking for it, experimenting with all the meanings until one makes sense to them.  Then they might try to force that belief onto others or keep it for themselves.

Try to find a meaning and live by it.  Never let go of your sanity, though.  If one answer fails, then try another one.  Don't stick to one philosophy forever.  Life is all about changing and growing.  Don't be afraid to question what you believe in and question everything.  If you realize what you're doing is right and that nothing can change your mind, then live by that belief, study the belief, and be prepared to die for it.  If you realize what you're doing is wrong, be prepared to try something new.  Don't marry any meaning or answer, until you truly believe you've found the one.  Even if you do stick to one, always keep space in your mind open for the possibility of being wrong.

Don't do any of this meaning-seeking if it doesn't matter to you.  If you just don't care about looking for a meaning, then that's fine.  It's a personal quest and whether or not you want to do it is your own personal choice.  If your current answer is what keeps you happy and that's all you want, then stick by it.  Even if you find flaws in it, sometimes it's good to just believe in something so that you can continue to move on.  Are you living a lie?  Maybe.  If it's working out for you, then it may even be a good lie.

Don't let people force you to believe anything, including me.  If you find all of what I say to be bulls*** or believe that I have no idea what I'm talking about, then that's fine.  I know what I'm talking about and I hope it helps others.  If not, then there's not much for me to do about that.  I'm fine if you don't follow my philosophy on life, but others may not be.  If you truly care and wish to find life's meaning, but these others get in your way, then keep looking for a way around it.  It'll become frustrating and you'll maybe eventually feel like you're living a bad lie if you follow them, but it's up to you to handle that situation, just as it's up to you to decide whether or not you want to look into life's true meaning.

If this is what you really want to do, keep searching.  If not, then do what makes you happy.  Let that be your meaning.  Don't ever be driven by fear.  Let your own curiosity and willpower drive you.  Don't believe because you're afraid of what will happen if you don't.  Believe because you truly want to.  Don't be afraid of dying; be afraid of dying for nothing.

I have my own set of beliefs and have found my own meaning to life. 
I believe we're all doomed and everything in this world has no significance at all. 
I believe that there's no world after this. 
Once we die, that's it. 
This moment we get to live is all we get. 
Then there's nothing. 
There will be no spiritual world for thoughts and dreams. 
There will be no revival. 
There will be nothing. 
Nothing we do now, did in the past, or will do in the future will ever truly matter. 
Everyone we know and love will be gone and you won't have a mind to think about any of that. 
There won't be blank white space. 
There won't be a dark void. 
There will just be nothing.

Yet, I don't mind.  I continue to live.  I'll drop money into a charity box.  I'll help someone who doesn't ask for it.  I'll take the time to listen to a friend in need.  I'll forgive.  I'll do all this, discreetly.  I'm not looking for attention.  I'm happy just to know that I've made someone else happy.  I'm not trying to get on any god's good side.  If there was a heaven and hell, I am completely ready to burn in hell.  After years of thinking it through, I'm willing to spend all of eternity in misery and horror.  I'm not scared anymore when I'm told that if I don't follow someone else's belief, I'm going to hell.  I'm still very young so there's still a lot I don't understand.  If there is a god, I hope his he actually has a good Haven/Hell system sorted out so that I'm not in hell because I no matter how hard I try I can't believe him.  If I am placed in hell, I'll be ready.  As far as dying goes, there's very little I'd die for, right now.  I haven't found a true passion yet, but of any person I know, I believe in friendship more than anything else.  What I know for certain is that I'm willing to die for my sister, my friend Geneva, and my friend Bear.  I'd rather not die now, though, since I want to continue to experience life, though if unlikely events occur, they hold the key to my life.  They also happen to be the people who would least want to see me die.

True, I live somewhat of a lie.  If I think nothing truly has meaning, why do I continue to show such passion?  I do it because it makes me happy.  Sometimes the meaning doesn't make sense.  That's why it's so difficult to find.
